Hotel Facility Concepts (HFC), an expert provider of integrated back-of-house solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mathijs van Dalsen as Commercial Director, joining the HFC leadership team and heading the Commercial Department with global responsibility for growth.
In this role, Mathijs will work closely with HFC’s executive management and shareholders to define and execute the company’s global commercial strategy. His responsibilities include organic growth, strategic partnerships, and new revenue initiatives, as well as sales leadership, portfolio expansion, and market entry across Europe, the Americas, and other international growth markets. A key element of his mandate is to identify and structure partnerships and acquisitions that accelerate scale, strengthen HFC’s platform, and enhance value creation for clients and investors.
Mathijs brings over 15 years of experience across the hospitality and real estate ecosystem, having worked with real estate funds, hotel operators, global brands, and developers. He has led and supported complex transactions across EMEA, combining hands-on deal-making expertise with strong strategic insight at asset, portfolio, and platform level. His background enables him to bridge commercial execution with long-term value creation, including growth through consolidation and partnership-driven expansion.
The appointment reflects HFC’s ambition to further professionalize its organization and scale internationally through a combination of disciplined organic growth and targeted strategic transactions.
Pancras Evers, CEO of HFC, commented:
“By welcoming Mathijs to our leadership team, we significantly strengthen HFC’s ability to execute on its growth strategy. His experience in structuring partnerships and transactions, combined with his deep understanding of hospitality operations and investor requirements, makes him ideally suited to help shape HFC’s next phase of expansion.
As guests place growing importance on room cleanliness, it has become a direct driver of brand performance and long-term value. By professionalising and scaling this critical backbone of hotel operations, HFC creates tangible value for investors, operators, and brands alike.”
Commenting on his appointment, Mathijs van Dalsen said:
“What excites me about HFC is the opportunity to make the back-of-house — traditionally invisible — visible and strategic. The industry tends to focus heavily on topline growth, but it is the back-of-house where sustainable margins are truly made. HFC has built a scalable and innovative platform that turns operational efficiency into portfolio value, and I am excited to contribute as part of the leadership team, working on strategic partnerships and selective M&A to scale this concept globally.”
With this appointment, HFC reinforces its ambition to become a global strategic back-of-house expert for hotel owners and operators, supported by a strengthened leadership team focused on growth, margins, and long-term value creation.
